I provide professional pregnancy and birth support in Berlin. I am there for you and your partner, helping you meet your goals and needs, to work together towards a birth experience you want.
I support new families in the beginning of their new chapter, providing help, guidance, experience and a space to acknowledge emotions in this tender time.
I teach new parents how to safely and comfortably carry their new babies, helping them to meet their need for closeness and freeing their hands at the same time.
Baby massage is another daily ritual you can incorporate for building a strong bond, at the same time helping babies regulate and sleep better.
I chose to become a doula because I believe that the way we birth and the way our babies come in to the world is of paramount importance. Helping expecting parents prepare for this experience, bringing them comfort, support and a familiar face in the birthing space has become my calling ever since I had my first child.
Becoming a parent is an amazing journey but can be a lonely and difficult one at times. We all deserve to have someone who will listen to us along the way, someone who will provide support free of judgement, without an agenda. We deserve pregnancies free of fear and births that are centered around us, where we make the choices, informed and independent. The births that will help us grow into parents who know they can take anything on, who feel empowered and confident.
I know we can’t control the birth process, that every birth is different and that sometimes we will have to change our plans and accept the way our babies need to be born. Still though, we should be able to feel strong, we should be supported and cared for. Our partners should be able to feel involved and supported too. They should be given tools they can use in the birth room and after.
As a doula I want to help people achieve all that. I bring my knowledge and experience and a calm presence. I hold space for your family to go on this journey feeling safe. I believe in a postpartum period full of rest, restoration, nurturing and growth, in mothering the mother, in concentrating on building the bonds in the new family, slowing down and self care.
